Presence Pricing vs Firebase Billing

Presence offers a complete attendance management solution powered by Firebase. However, Firebase usage and billing are handled separately by Google and are not covered under Presence’s pricing plans.

What’s included in Presence pricing

Presence’s pricing covers the following:

• Access to Presence web and mobile app
• Admin and user roles management
• Event creation and sharing
• Real-time attendance tracking
• Attendance history and reports
• Announcement delivery (subject to pricing tier)
• User management interface
• Exportable Excel reports

These features are fully maintained by the Presence team. Updates, fixes, and support are also included.

What Firebase charges for

Presence uses Firebase services under the hood, but Firebase billing is managed directly by Google. Firebase charges for:

• Firestore document reads, writes, and deletes
• Realtime database usage (if used)
• Cloud Storage (used for profile images and shared QR images)
• Firebase Authentication (free for email/password but limited in scale)
• Outbound bandwidth if data usage exceeds free limits

Presence is optimized for minimal usage to avoid crossing free tier limits, but large teams or high-frequency event usage may result in additional Firebase charges.

Firebase account responsibility

Each Presence admin (created upon purchase) is required to maintain their Firebase project. This includes:

• Setting up billing with Google Cloud (requires credit card)
• Monitoring usage in Firebase Console
• Upgrading to a paid Firebase plan if needed (e.g. Blaze Plan)

Presence does not handle Firebase billing, and Firebase charges are not included in any Presence subscription.

Credit card requirements

To enable full Firebase functionality (such as high read/write quotas), Google requires a credit card to be linked to the Firebase project. This is mandatory if you expect to:

• Use Presence in large organizations
• Generate or scan high volumes of attendance entries
• Upload/download frequent reports or QR codes

Presence will not store or manage your Firebase billing credentials.
